  9. Elizabeth Lawhead Bourne studied at the New England School of Art andDesign in Boston and at the Art 
  10. Students League in New York City.  Originally trained as a painter, Bourne started creating digital art in 
  11. 1985.  Her work has been exhibited in Canada, the U.S., and Japan, and has won awards from Adobe, 
  12. Corel, and Autographix.  A featured artist in CYBER ART, Bourne has created illustrations for NASA, 
  13. the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry, PULPHOUSE Magazine, and Arkham House.  Her most 
  14. recent forays have been into the world of digital animation and illustration for multi-media educational 
  15. CD-ROMs.  She lives in Portland, Oregon with her husband (writer Mark Bourne) her son, Austin, and 
  16. assorted wildlife.
